I'm going to attempt not to be so lazy, and get features out for all albums I decide to keep. It's not that much harder, but for some reason I think it is... Anyway, the "reviews" will be as free associative and useless as always, have no fear.
Well you know this guy. Many of us literally "know" him - at least he's someone I met once. For whatever reason, even though I'd heard this album a few times in the past, I never thought it collection worthy. But in reflection, most of those listens were in group settings, and that's rarely a good place to discover the musical contents of an album. I do better when it's a solo pursuit, or maybe with one good like-minded friend.
The Story of I is a busy album, that moves at the pace that we normally associate with the Italian prog scene. On board are a number of Brazilian musicians giving the music an exotic edge. Much better than I had ever recalled, and an easy recommendation. But who am I recommending it to? lol, everyone already has it.
Ownership: LP: 1976 Atlantic. Gatefold with intricate recording details inner. A true commodity, this album can be found easily online for less than $5. This one was in the 25 cent bin haul that I've been going on about in the Commodity lists. Ha - the photos here from Discogs even look my copy! Mine might even be better, hard to imagine.12/7/21 (first listen / review / new entry)
