I've owned Carpe Diem's second album since college but it never transcended that top level - until a recent listen (+1). I love the melodic lines intertwined with the complex musicianship. Not a head turner, definitely one that takes time to marinate. Words escape me on how to describe the music but this is a first division record.
Ownership: LP: 1977 Crypto. Single sleeve. Purchased from a friend (2016). My first copy came from the Record Gallery in Dallas (1987). I sold that when I obtained the below CD, that I'm obviously keeping.
CD: 1994 Musea. Jewel case release that provides a solid history, though the bonus track is perfunctory. Keeping both formats due to the quality of the music.
1987; 2014; 6/8/17; 2/15/23 (LP 4.8); 4/13/23 (new entry)
