Dream Theater - Falling Into Infinity. 1997 USA

I talk some about my history with the Dream Theater on the A Dramatic Turn of Events post, so I won't cover that again. This was the album where I dropped off the Dream Theater bandwagon. Only to hop once again a few years later, and then hop off... permanently. But I've been enjoying going back and revisiting the titles I either sold off, or never bothered with in the first place. In retrospect, I hear Falling Into Infinity as an improvement to the more inconsistent Awake. But less satisfying given my history with the former. As usual you get the music school metal gymnastics combined with the sappy I-wove-you-so-vewy-much-I-weally-weally-do styled ballads.

Former ownership: CD: 1997 EastWest. Booklet includes lyrics and photos.
