Tim Buckley - Happy Sad. 1969 USA
I was tipped off to Tim Buckley's talent by a fellow Dutch prog rock collector going all the way back to the early 90s. Fortunately I picked up Starsailor (for a whole $1), which is the title he recommended. One day we'll cover that album. But oddly I never pursued his other albums. This was the one exception, as I bought the commodity CD sometime in the early 2000s. I enjoyed it, and filed away, but honestly didn't remember much about it. Lucky for me, RT also is a fan, being the folk collector he is. I'm really beginning to appreciate Buckley's unique mournful jazz styled vocals, wrapped inside folk music. For certain a +1 listen, and I expect over time that may increase further.
Ownership: CD: 199? Elektra. After some deliberation, I decided to release RT's LP and just keep the CD.
10/17/21; 10/16/22 (release LP)
