Fraction - Moon Blood. 1971 USA-California

Here's an album I've owned some 23 years and never really paid much attention to it. Thought it was one of those "collector hyped" psych rarities. I kind of remember a Doors like vibe. Well, yea, that's true - but it does deliver the hard rocking goods and I experienced a +2 rating listen. Fraction were from Los Angeles and they really capture the angst of the times. The insane vocals just add to the allure for me. Great psychedelic guitar sounds as well. They were a Christian band, though it's not obvious. In fact it sounds quite the opposite. Albums like this are what make collecting fun.

Ownership: LP: 199? "Angelus". Acquired from a mail order dealer in the SF Bay Area (1997). It's a bootleg all the way, purchased before I cared about those things. But even so, I rationalize this one away. It features the original plastic red screened die cut cover with moon / lyric insert. The sound isn't bad at all, sourced from a decent original copy. One of less than 5 albums that I probably will keep the boot rather than upgrade. Unless I somehow manage to get an original. Not bloody likely...
