Sweet Slag ~ England

Tracking with Close-Ups (1971)

Like its moniker, Sweet Slag's album is a very messy affair, but intriguing all the same. More like a free rock album with jazz components and an unusual vocalist. There's really nothing like it, maybe The Running Man, but even that is a distant guidepost. No commercial potential whatsoever and will always be a cult like favorite. For me, it's a bit out of bounds, but something I do enjoy on occasion and plan on keeping.

Ownership: 2006 Air Mail (CD). Textured papersleeve. Liner notes in Japanese. Acquired in 2020.
