...And now for something completely different. Even back in the day, I kind of knew Motley Crue weren't my thing. They're not really now either, but I can appreciate it on a macro level. These guys were (and are I think) loathsome degenerates all the way, and the music is just good enough to pass muster, especially for the era. It's muscled up hard rock essentially. More Van Halen than Iron Maiden that's for sure. There's enough here for me to keep - doubtful for the long haul though.
Ownership: LP: 1982 Elektra. Single sleeve. I had some trade credit with my friends at What's Left here in town, and grabbed this one. Back in the early 80s, I used to see the Leathur originals at a Dallas local store that carried privately released metal. It's the same place I bought Manilla Road's Crystal Logic on Roadster and Savatage's Siren on Par. Had I bought Too Fast for Love real time, most assuredly I would have ditched it without any return on my investment. Today all 3 original Leathur pressings are worth a small fortune. Though even this mass released Elektra version is starting to go for some good coin.
