Over 18 years ago I wrote:UK heavy blues rock, obviously spurred on by the success of Cream. Not as ballistic as Elias Hulk but I do dig that wah guitar sound. Other than the trad blues piece ‘Backlash Blues’ and the short and goofy ‘Slightly Country’, this one stays true to the rock aesthetic. Some of the jams get intense with fuzz solos and pounding drums. Long album for the era going over 50 minutes. Vocals are an acquired taste, not unusual from the blues rock camp. A good one, and exceeded my lowered expectations.

Yea, OK, pretty decent run through there. I will now offer that it's B2 and B4 that take it over the threshold to the excellent category. One can hear these guys belting out in the same sweaty clubs as Led Zeppelin at their beginning.
Ownership: CD: 2005 Decca (Japan). Papersleeve edition. Keeping this because of the vinyl condition above. This was my introduction to the album and was the source for my original notes.
